NOTICE: The Rocky Mount Senior Center along with the City of Rocky Mount, are working to stay up to date with the latest information from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS), and our local health department. Below, you will find information on facility days and hours of operation, facility usage, programming and precautions used to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Welcome

The Rocky Mount Senior Center is Nationally Accredited by the National Council on Aging and its National Institute of Senior Centers. We are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all residents age 50 or better in the City of Rocky Mount and surrounding areas.

Our dynamic and diverse programming include physical, mental, emotional, cultural, and social. All of the programs are to benefit our participants and provide the opportunity to age actively. The Center contains a fitness center that includes cardio equipment, indoor pool with men's/women's locker rooms, gymnasium, multipurpose room with kitchen, library, game room with two pool tables, lounge rooms and a computer lab equipped with eight computers - all with Internet access and the latest Microsoft Software.

The Rocky Mount Senior Center has seen a lot of changes in 2018. Recently we changed our fees, all of our Fitness Classes are now Free! That is seven classes including Water Aerobics and Line Dancing. Also new to the Senior Center is SilverSneakers which includes all exercise classes, the fitness room and the pool. Saturday & Sunday: Closed

Safety and Precautions

On November 23, 2020, it was announced by Governor Cooper enhanced a mask mandate. At this time, mask will be always required inside the Rocky Mount Senior Center, including exercising.

Swimmers or water fitness participants do need to wear a mask when in the water, but they must wear a mask while on the pool deck and social distance when inside the pool.

Please be aware if members cannot follow recommended guidelines at the Rocky Mount Senior Center they could be asked to leave the premises.
