City Manager Rochelle Small-Toney is accepting nominations from employees and citizens for the first installment of the City Manager’s Award, which will be presented to city of Rocky Mount employees who best exemplify the organization’s core values of Customer-Centered Service, Professionalism, Respect, Teamwork & Leadership and Supportive Work Environment.

“I believe city of Rocky Mount employees are unmatched in their daily commitment to their jobs and the service of our citizens,” Small-Toney said. “It’s my pleasure to begin this awards process, which will bring to the forefront some of the outstanding work done by city employees.”

Nominations should include a detailed and accurate account about what makes their nominee outstanding and how that employee exhibits the city’s core values. Nominations can be submitted online via rockymountnc.gov, emailed to the Communications, Marketing and Public Relations Office via Jessie Nunery, and drop boxes at various city facilities.

Deadline submission of nominations are March 31 (April award), June 30 (July award), September 30 (October award) and November 30 (December award).

The recipients will receive a trophy, certificate and letter of commendation signed by the city manager quarterly and recognized during the luncheon at the annual Employee Appreciation Event.
