During Oct. 2-8, 2016, Rocky Mount Public Utilities (RMPU) is celebrating Public Power and Public Natural Gas Week! RMPU is proud to serve the citizens of Rocky Mount with locally owned and operated electric and natural gas services. Public Power and Public Natural Gas Week is an opportunity to celebrate all the advantages of having a public utility service, such as:

Watt's Cooking Recipe Contest
This fall, in celebration of Public Power and Public Natural Gas Week, RMPU is hosting a recipe contest to encourage customers to save energy in the kitchen. To enter, simply submit a recipe that uses a cooking method (e.g. Crockpot, microwave, toaster oven) instead of the oven or stove. All customers who submit a recipe will receive a free potholder and chef's hat (while supplies last).

1st place prize: $150 credit toward your city of Rocky Mount utility bill
2nd place prize: $75 credit toward your city of Rocky Mount utility bill
3rd place prize: $50 credit toward your city of Rocky Mount utility bill
The contest is open to city of Rocky Mount residential customers only.
One recipe may be submitted per household.
The deadline to enter is October 31, 2016.
